Electronic Frontier Alliance (EFA) Videoconferences are an opportunity for local grassroots groups to share their work, offer mutual support, and participate in exclusive talks and workshops on digital rights issues.

These events are only open to EFA member groups, but membership is open to applications for qualifying groups.

EFA Video Conference: Defending Coders Rights

EFF Senior Staff Attorney Hannah Zhao will join us this month to go over how EFF's Coders Rights Project defends technologists—sometimes at the very last minute. Hannah will share how she and the team responded to an emergency consultation at DEFCON, before reviewing common tactics the powerful use to censor and shut down technologists. Seasoned hackers and newbies alike are encouraged to come with questions and personal anecdotes on the legal threats faced by technologists in an active Q&A.
