Electronic Frontier Alliance (EFA) Videoconferences are an opportunity for local grassroots groups to share their work, offer mutual support, and participate in exclusive talks and workshops on digital rights issues.

These events are only open to EFA member groups, but membership is open to applications for qualifying groups.

EFA Video Conference: Small Host Data Protection

Thinking of ditching the Big Tech platforms? Curious about hosting your own corner of the web? While organizers are moving to smaller and more privacy-protective alternatives, it's important to know what limits are placed on even the most well-meaning services—like what rights the host has when cops ask for all their data. To dive into these legal questions, we'll be joined by EFF Free Speech and Transparency Litigation Director Aaron Mackey. Participants are encouraged to come with questions.
