Every time you use the Internet, you're leaving behind a "digital shadow" that can be tracked by a host of unseen online companies — or even the government. From surveillance of social networking profiles to warrantless seizure of your laptop at the border, this panel discussion will explore how the law lags behind technology in protecting user rights.
Join the ACLU of San Diego, Privacy Rights Clearinghouse, and the Electronic Frontier Foundation for an informal panel discussion about how technology is changing our relationship to privacy and what you can do to safeguard your civil liberties in the digital world.
The panel discussion will be free and open to the public, and participants will have a chance to meet and mingle with the speakers. Parking will be about $3. Make your reservation below, then check out the International House site to plan your visit.
